Abstract
This report is the work product of a special working group commissioned in 2003 by the Aerospace Industries Association Board of Governors to assess the state of standard setting in the aerospace industry, and to make recommendations for addressing any deficiencies identified. The eight chapters of the report address specific industry segments (Civil Aviation, Defense, and Space) as well as broader issues, such as leadership and business models. Each chapter ends with a recommendation.
