Abstract
This project provides background material for the use by the Standards Sub-Committee in meeting its Terms of Reference (these are listed on p.6). The scope of this project is to research and advise on issues related to technical standards relevant to information technology, online delivery, resource discovery and some aspects of information management in education and training in Australia in the context of international activities in these areas.
