Abstract
The Open eBook Forum (OeBF) promoted the development of applications and products that benefited creators of content, makers of reading systems, and consumers. The Open eBook Forum defined Open eBook, an open ereader format that was based in HTML and XML and was the legacy ebook fomat that preceeded EPUB, which was standardized in 2007 by IDPF. *Now the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF)
