Abstract
Open Charge Alliance (OCA) promotes and provides a forum for further development of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), an open standard for uniform communications between Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points and the central management system. The goal of OCA is to help prepare the electricity-grid for the large scale introduction of electric vehicles by enabling the connection of any central system with any charge point, regardless of the vendor, and in the process, to improve coordination among industry segments, increase efficiency, promote innovation and decrease total costs.
