Abstract
The Mobile Data Association promoted the use and benefit of wireless value-added services through industry and business press, conferences, seminars and the maintenance of an online forum for the mobile data industry. MDA objectives included: facilitating growth in the overall mobile data market; promoting mobile/wireless data solutions; providing a source of information; encouraging VAR/System Integrators to provide mobile/wireless data solutions as part of their product portfolios; maintaining dialogue with government and regulatory bodies (DTI, RCA); and sponsoring promotional activities.
