The Linux Foundation is a non-profit consortium dedicated to promoting the growth of Linux. The Linux Foundation promotes, protects and standardizes Linux by hosting workgroups, events, and online resources such as Linux.com. The Linux Foundation sponsors the work of Linux creator Linus Torvalds and is supported by Linux and open source companies and developers.
