Abstract
The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is an open community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers focused on developing the Internet architecture and expanding its usage. Its main objectives include providing a forum for working groups to coordinate technical developments of new protocols as well as developing and selecting standards within the Internet protocol suite. Technical working groups focus on specific technical areas including routing, security, applications, transport, sub-IP, and others.
