Abstract
epSOS developed and promoted interoperability between electronic health record systems. Key goals were to improve the quality and safety of healthcare for citizens when travelling to another European country, and developing an eHealth framework and ICT infrastructure that enabled secure access to patient health information among different European healthcare systems. *Project completed June 2014
