Abstract
The Council for Harmonization of Electrotechnical Standardization of the Nations of the Americas (CANENA) facilitates and promotes the development of harmonized electrotechnical codes and standards and uniform conformity assessment methods. CANENA also encourages the reduction of non-tariff trade barriers between the member countries. CANENA Standardization Activities also include conformity assessment, compliance issues, compatibility, interchangeability, interoperability, installation codes, intellectual property and other issues in the broadest definition of standardization.
