Abstract
SAFE-BioPharma (which later changed its name to Safe Identity) was part of the National Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center. It promoted identity trust for cyber-transactions in the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries through the development and promotion of the SAFE-BioPharma digital identity and signature standards, to mitigate risks associated with electronic transactions by protecting intellectual property and patient data using secure, enforceable, and regulatory compliant mechanisms. *Acquired by DirectTrust in 2021.
