Abstract
The EHR/HIE Interoperability Workgroup's goal is to develop a single set of standardized, easy-to-implement interoperability specifications that will increase the adoption of EHRs and Health Information Exchange services.
It is a consortium of states, electronic health records (EHR), and health information exchange (HIE) vendors, formed to increase the adoption of EHR and HIE services. Members have collaborated to form the Statewide Send and Receive Patient Record Exchange and Statewide Patient Data Inquiry Service specifications.
