Abstract
The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Standards Association (VICS) promoted the efficiency and effectiveness of the retail supply chain and improving product availability to the consumer by providing leadership and encouragement in the identification, development and implementation of volunteer standards, protocols, guidelines, and other mechanisms. *Merged with GS1 US in 2012 to form the GS1 US Apparel and General Merchandise Initiative
