Abstract
e-CENTRE was the trading name of the Association for Standards and Practices in Electronic Trade - EAN UK Ltd. Its mission was to facilitate UK electronic commerce by promoting business data standards from EAN International and market-driven information exchange standards. Its approach included: helping members adopt best practices; providing a single source for help and advice on e-commerce to UK organizations; supporting and promulgating EAN-UCC and other standards as required by members; and lobbying on behalf of "UK plc." *Now GS1 UK
