Overview: The CALLIOPE ("CALL for InterOPErability" with a focus on eHealth) collaboration platform was established on June 1, 2008 with a duration of 30 months, to produce value for decision makers for national eHealth implementations. Comprised of decision makers, implementers, professionals, patients and other stakeholders, CALLIOPE provided a forum to share visions, experiences and good practices on how to establish interoperable eHealth services. CALLIOPE's goal were to facilitate the sustainability of a trusted, open, equitable, informed and transparent dialogue regarding eHealth services by synthesizing perspectives, opinions, and views, and producing balanced proposals accompanied by clear statements regarding the level of consensus supporting the proposals.
