Overview: The Apache XML Project was part of the Apache Software Foundation and focuses on defining a set of components that exchange or deal with XML information sets. The goal was to develop and promote freely available XML support on a variety of platforms. *In April 2012 Project XML was retired and moved to the Apache Attic, which provides process and solutions to make it clear when an Apache project has reached the end of its life.
