Overview: The ICT Standards Board (ICTSB) is a collaboration between three recognized European standards organizations formed to co-ordinate specification activities in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). ICTSB deals with: Electronic Signature (EESSI); Design for All and Assistive Technologies (DATSCG); Intelligent Transport Systems (ITSSG); Smart House Standards (SHSSG); Network & Information Security (NISSG); and ICT Standards (ICTSFG). ICTSB is also involved in political initiatives. ICTSB accepts input and requirements for standards and specifications that are based on market needs and expressed by any competent source, and then considers what standards or specifications need to be created, and how the task will be carried out. The ICTSB also maintains a dialogue with the European Commission and links standardization with research activities for mutual benefits.
