Overview: The Printer Working Group (or PWG) works to enable interoperation between printers and the applications and operating systems supporting them. PWG is a program of the IEEE Industry Standard and Technology Organization (ISTO). Its member organizations include printer manufacturers, print server developers, operating system providers, and print management application developers. The group projects include: Common Semantic Model for the Print Industry; Print Services Interface; XHTML-Print; IPP FAX; and Universal Printer Driver Format (UPDF). Past projects and projects in on-going maintenance include: Printer MIB (RFC1759); the Job Monitoring MIB Project (JMP); Finisher MIB; Internet Printing Project (IPP); and 1394 Print Project.
