Overview: Founded in 1993, the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) is a global organization of adopters, developers, practitioners, and research groups engaged in Workflow, Business Process Management (BPM) and Adaptive Case Management, as well as business process simulation and optimization. The WfMC develops process related standards, educates the market on related issues, and concentrates solely on business process. The WfMC created XPDL, a process definition format used to store and exchange process models, as well as BPSim (the Business Process Simulation standard) and BPAF (the Business Process Analytics Format) each the leading standard in their respective areas. The WfMC represents a worldwide constituency of over 30,000 members and/or active followers, across all facets of business process management and improvement.
