Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG)

Overview: The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), founded in 1982, develops and promotes solutions for the automotive industry. AIAG's focus surrounds business processes and practices involving trading partners throughout the supply chain. AIAG has approximately 1,600 member companies including OEMs, suppliers, and others involved in the automotive supply chain. AIAG initiatives include: promoting current publications developed to enable the implementation of new or improved business practices throughout the supply chain; providing training and seminars, including educational offerings on QS-9000 and ISO/TS 16949, electronic commerce, EDI, international trade/NAFTA customs, and vehicle product data; hosting AUTO-TECH, an industry conference; and promoting ActionLINE, a monthly magazine that features case studies of implementation successes and failures, industry trend reports, and columns examining current problems and progress.
