Overview: The HyperTransport Technology Consortium promotes HyperTransport technology as an industry specification for high bandwidth chip-to-chip communications. HyperTransport technology can be deployed in personal computers, mobile computers, servers, network equipment, communication systems and embedded products. Consortium members include providers of computing, networking, communications, embedded software and IP products and services. The consortium's working groups are organized into technical working groups and marketing working groups that coordinate, review, authorize, approve or disapprove such activities as proposed and carried out by its assigned task forces. The function of the technical working group is to provide a forum for the coordination, review, approval or disapproval of architectural matters relating to the HyperTransport technology specification. The marketing working group is responsible for all marketing and public communications activities of the consortium.
