Overview: International Digital Enterprise Alliance (IDEAlliance) develops standards, fosters business alliances, and identifies best practices for publishing and content-related processes. Founded in 1966 as the Graphic Communications Association, IDEAlliance fostered the development and adoption of standards such as GRACoL, ICE, JIFFI, Mail.dat, papiNet, PRISM, PROSE XML, SPACE XML, SGML, and XML. Its goals are to develop and converge standards, advance technology solutions through educational programs and tools, encourage efficiencies in the creation, management, delivery and presentation of digital publishing assets, foster best practices, address business requirements, and provide an online forum for the industry. IDEAlliance also hosts another standards consortium, the CPExchange.
