Open Buying on the Internet Consortium (OBI)

Overview: The Open Buying on the Internet Consortium (OBI) was a global, multi-class consortium, which developed open standards for business-to-business Internet commerce. To accomplish that, it developed and promoted standards for Internet purchases: small dollar, non-production goods and services. Membership was open to all buying and selling organizations, technology providers, financial institutions and others. Its founding members were large buyers and sellers who wanted to make their Internet buying and selling simpler and more efficient. *Inactive
